Developments In Literacy

What We Do

The Development in literacy alternative

At development in literacy, we believe that education trickles over into all aspects of a young girls life. When you educate a young girl you change her future and the future of her family. We call this the ripple effect.

The Ripple Effect

When a girl receives four or more years of primary education she marries later and has 2.2 percent less children.
Research has shown a consistent relationship between infant care and child health and higher levels of schooling among girls.
When a women earns income, she reinvest 90 percent of it back into her family as compared to men who only reinvest 30-40 percent.
